Project type Web site redesign

Requirements I was approached by Pastor Bob Gall of Abundant Life Church in Athens, Ohio to help redesign their logo and web site; at the time, it was definitely broken. As it was, the site was little more than a whtie page with a few broken images and virtually no functionality. It was the epitome of the "do-it-yourself" type of site. Pastor Bob asked for a modern redesign with an attractive landing page, a media player that interfaced with iTunes via an RSS feed, and a maintenance contract.

Process I worked with Pastor Bob to develop a few design concepts for the logo and web site as well as the scope for the project. The site needed a modern looking front end so we decided to go with a large slideshow; I worked with Pastor Bob to get it just the way he wanted. Through the entire project I have never met Bob. All of our communication has been entirely through email and via telephone. I helped him switch his domain name and his web hosting to a more reliable company.

Solution I gave Pastor Bob everything he wanted out of the site. I set him up with a nice user interface for visitors to listen to and download sermons; this module also interfaces with iTunes so users can listen directly through that application if they so choose. The site was finished in late 2007 and I have maintained it on a monthly basis for him since it's release.
